Arkansas Bill Attempts to Ban Internet Pre-Sales

The Arkansas General Assembly recently fast-tracked a bill intended to put a damper on ticket pre-sales over the Internet. SB966, which was passed by the Senate and heard by the House Advanced Communication and Technology Committee on Friday, March 13, 2009, prohibits ticket pre-sales over the Internet until after tickets are offered to the public through an event-authorized outlet or offering. Members interested in expressing their opinions about the bill proposal should contact their elected state officials.
